Bryce Drew

Bryce Drew (born September 21, 1974) is an American college basketball coach and former player. He is currently the head coach for the <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Grand%20Canyon%20Antelopes">Grand Canyon Antelopes</a> men's basketball team.

  • Playing Career: Drew is best known for his buzzer-beating shot in the 1998 NCAA Tournament for <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Valparaiso%20Crusaders">Valparaiso Crusaders</a> against Ole Miss, a play often referred to simply as "The Shot". He played for Valparaiso from 1994 to 1998, where he was coached by his father, <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Homer%20Drew">Homer Drew</a>. He was a three-time Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Year. Drew was drafted into the NBA in 1998. He had stints with the Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls, and Charlotte Hornets.

  • Coaching Career:

    • Valparaiso: Drew began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Valparaiso. He later became the head coach after his father's retirement in 2011. He led Valparaiso to two Horizon League regular season titles and two NCAA Tournament appearances.
    • Vanderbilt: In 2016, Drew became the head coach at <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Vanderbilt%20Commodores">Vanderbilt Commodores</a>.
    • Grand Canyon: He was named the head coach at Grand Canyon University in 2020.
